Vibe reported today that Atlanta, the FX series, is expected to come out sometime next year after a long hiatus. Donald Glover recently took to his Twitter account to say new episodes of Atlanta were on their way, and the following two seasons would be well worth the wait.
On the 6th of November, Glover took to his Twitter account to say the third and fourth seasons of Atlanta, on FX, are going to be some of the “best television ever made.” The actor went on to say that the only other series that could compete is maybe The Sopranos.
Reportedly, Atlanta, which stars Lakeith Stanfield, Brian Tyree Henry, Glover, and more, hasn’t aired a new episode for approximately two years. The show was supposed to come out in the following January, but filming was delayed because of the COVID-19 spread.
Thus far, the network hasn’t officially come out with a release date for new episodes of Atlanta, but it’s clear Donald Glover has more enthusiasm for the show than ever before. In addition to exploring his television series, Glover also touched on his latest project.
As most know, Childish Gambino dropped a new LP earlier this year, and the performing artist reportedly has plans to “raise the bar” for the next record. Glover, who also goes by the name, Childish Gambino, said his next album would likely be his biggest thus far.
The singer-songwriter went on to say there was a “lot of magic coming.” he added, “y’all thought I was hot in 2018.” This isn’t the only time Glover has shared the good news with his fans.
Glover did a recent interview with GQ where he explained what it was like to have a kid during the coronavirus pandemic. The star said to the journalist, Michaela Coel, “you know, I had a kid during the coronavirus.”
Additionally, his child was born right around the same time as the Black Lives Matter protests were really taking off. Donald said his son was born approximately one hour before he had seen the George Floyd video.
