Travis Scott’s New Song FRANCHISE Expected To Drop Off Billboard Faster Than TROLLZ

Travis Scott announced his new track featuring Young Thug and M.I.A, “FRANCHISE,” earlier this year, and soon after it hit streaming platforms, it was reported by several outlets that it managed to make it to number one on the Billboard charts.

Reportedly, the early chart projections, which typically have a reputation for being fairly accurate, estimated the song would likely not hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. “Dynamite” from BTS, and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” were supposed to compete for the number one position.

But on account of the bundles, Travis Scott managed to sell thousands of physical copies which pushed it to the coveted spot. Just a couple of days after social media users expressed their frustration with the song, it managed to succeed in a big way, with many people asking how it was even possible, to begin with.

Put simply, despite the fact the fan reception to the song wasn’t overly positive, it appeared that Travis Scott was about to break another personal record. However, Hot New Hip Hop said today that new projections claim the song will fall off the chart as quickly as it climbed it.

As most know, Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine’s latest song together, “TROLLZ,” was afflicted by the same phenomena, reaching the top of the charts quickly but then falling off just as fast. After hitting number one, the song went on to reach #34.

DJ Akademiks and others have claimed “FRANCHISE” looks like it’s going to drop from the #1 position all the way down past the top 40 position. If that’s the case, it will be the quickest fall from the number one position ever.

However, it was reported this week that Travis did a remix of the song featuring Future which will likely help its sales and numbers. Regardless, Travis has been busy promoting his material in a number of ways over the last few weeks, including earlier in September when it was announced that he and McDonalds were working together on a new hamburger.
